Pitch (the actual one)

Name: Faded

Genre: Narrative

The genre we have chosen is a narrative, we chose this genre because we feel that the audience will become more engaged with a narrative styled video than an performance styled music video. We also got the inspiration for choosing a narrative genre from the original video of Faded- by Alan Walker.

Form: The form of our music video, we chose a music video because its not just fun but it can be very challenging to make so it will help us enhance our skills within the media industry.

Location: our music video will include a variety of locations
a kitchen- this is where the couple will argue
a beach- where they will have fun
a restaurant- have a meal
a field- where they will play with their mates
a bedroom- for a couple for intimate moments
a bus stop- where the guy will get dumped
Time: the time of day will vary from day to night as we show the different memories, the darkness will symbolize bad memories and the daylight will symbolize the good memories. We have done this because it can create two different atmospheres corresponding to the two the different moods at the times of the video, the happy mood and the angry mood.

Characters:
we have two main characters who are the man and the woman in the relationship
we also have extras who are the friends who are in some of the scenes where they are all having fun and playing
Plot: at the start of the video the female dumps the male after they fight and have an argument. The male is left on his own and is remembering the good times and the bad times of the relationship. These good times are having fun with friends (water balloon fight), roaming around London (seeing big land marks). The bad times are them having arguments and fighting with each other. At the end of the video the man realizes that the break up is for the better and moves on.

We thought that it would be cool to show the relationship in rewind where they are all moving backwards, e.g walking backwards. Instead we are going with the idea of starting the video at the end of the relationship and throughout the video it will be flashbacks of memories of good times and bad times in the relationship and then at the end of the video it will be him realizing that it is for the better.

Key micro features:
the establishment of the relationship
making sure that throughout the video all of the different scenes from different times flow smoothly
ensure that the audience knows what is going on at all times
Sound:
the music 'Raging'
Camerawork:
we will have some very close up shots to show the intimacy of their relationship
some further apart shots showing that they are moving away from each other
and some long shots apart to show that they have split up more and have been fighting
establishing shots to show where they are
two shots of them together
Target audience:
the target audience will be younger adults and older teens as they will be in relationship at this time and they could be arguing more instead of being in longer relationships

*CHANGES*
We have decide to make some new changes to the video. We have scrapped the rewind idea and we have changed the song to Raging by Kygo. We have also decided to add more of a summer feel to the video,we will do this by having a whole day filming in London.
